One of the few trails in Denali National Park outside the entrance area is the 2-mile trail to the McKinley Bar. The McKinley River at this point is about a mile wide (many braids) and consists of glacier melt, so is quite silty. Few of the rivers in Denali have fish, as the fish cannot tolerate the silt from the glaciers.
The trailhead is right at the Wonder Lake
