Today was a fairly easy day—up Kerrick Canyon and over Seavey Pass.  This pass was quite interesting—lots of lakes and varied terrain at the top of the ridge.  We then descended to Benson Lake to find lots of people and a trail crew camp.  The lake has a huge sandy beach and is nearly surrounded by smoothed granite.  It’s windy here now—keeps the bugs away!  Tomorrow is our tough day—11 miles to Matterhorn Canyon.
