In Juneau, we took a bus to Mendenhall Glacier and did a hike up closer to the glacier. Mendenhall Glacier is an offshoot of the Juneau Icefield, and has its terminus in Mendenhall Lake. Patty spotted a black bear from inside the visitor center and caused quite a ruckus. On the way back to the ship, we spotted a bald eagle perched where the huge ropes from the ship hold it to the dock. |
