Upon returning from the kayak trip, we got a taxi ride a few miles south of town to a campground called Miller's Landing.  We had reserved a cabin there.  This allowed us to get out of the town of Seward for a couple of days.

Steve went on a hike south on the Caine's Head trail.

In the evening, we took a walk along the beach, and spotted a young bald eagle sitting up in a tree.  Bald eagles don't get their distinctive white head until they are 4 or 5 years old.
