After a morning visit to the Holgate Glacier, we boarded the charter boat for the trip back to Seward.
The highlight of the trip back was when a group of Dall porpoises decided to swim along right in front of our boat. Everyone moved to the front of the boat to enjoy the spectacle. The porpoises were swimming along as fast as the boat, and jumping out of the water from time to time. They resemble small orcas (killer whales). |
