There are lots of people hiking the John Muir Trail in August.
Journal Entry: Decided on an easy day today, just over the hill to Lake Virginia, on the JMT. Got here around 11:30 and we’ve been relaxing all afternoon. We both jumped in the lake briefly to get cleaned off a bit! Mosquitos not too bad here so far, close to camp is a few large rocks on the shoreline that is breezy. We are fairly far from the JMT so don’t hear many of the hikers passing through. Tomorrow we plan to get back on schedule.
