Mono Recesses 2004

Awoke to wispy clouds—the sky was hazy all day.  No rain though!  Made it up to the large lake in Pioneer Basin around 2pm.  Gusty wind, but that beats rain!  Trail down from Third Recess Lake a little rough.  The rest of the trails today were good.

Saw only a few people today—at the trail junction of Mono Creek and Pioneer Basin, and two people at the second lake.
