Arctic National Wildlife Refuge

The rain turned into snow overnight, and we awoke to a snow-covered land.  Initially we were going to use our last layover day, but the group decided to push on after lunch.  We left camp at 2:15 and had the most uphill of the trip, up 1300 feet.  Low clouds and no sun dominated.  We got to high camp around 6:30.  Cold but pleasant, as it is not raining!
