Easy day despite having to make up some distance from yesterday.  Dipped our feet into some off-trail talus hopping between Black Lake and Summit Lake.

Journal Entry:  Smoke cleared out, gusty winds all night.  Beautiful smokeless blue sky all day!  Left camp around 9:30, uphill to Black Lake on trail.  Enjoyed the views, then left the trail for the short uphill to Summit Lake.  A little talus hopping, but mostly sandy terrain with some rocks.  Summit Lake has awesome views from the east side:  Temple Crag, Mt. Sill, Palisades, and the top of the glacier.  Found the trail and headed down for a bit, then up to Sixth Lake.  Followed use trail over to Seventh Lake, some campsites on the north side but we opted to head back toward Sixth Lake for better camping on its west end.  Got to camp before 3:00.  Tomorrow’s plan is to summit Cloudripper.
