Not as cold last night even though elevation was higher than previous night.  Hard day today—tried to stay high for Longley Pass—lots of talus scrambling and crossing gullies—some of them with steep sides.  My feet were hurting most of the day.  After Longley Pass it was 2400 feet down to Lake Reflection at 10000 feet.  We also went most of the length of the lake today to position ourselves better for tomorrow.  Went around north side of lake opposite Millie’s Foot Pass as south side was blocked by a rock wall at the inlet end and looked more difficult.  Had to stay high due to steep rock cliffs near the lake.  Found a campsite around 5pm and lost the sun soon after.  Plenty of light though and it’s still warm now at 9:30pm.  Tomorrow’s goal is over Lucy’s Foot Pass into the Kern River drainage.
