Mt. Brewer and Sphinx Lakes 2000

Warm night, slept well.  On the trail downhill, first past East Lake, then down to Bubbs Creek at Junction Meadow.  Bridge over East Creek, and trail crew shortly after that.  No bridge over the Bubbs—first crossing I had to take my boots off in years!  Not difficult though.  Easy downhill to Avalanche Pass trail junction—got here around 3pm.  Clouds are building every day—especially over the crest.  Looks like we’ll miss the rain though.  Home tomorrow…
