Mt. Goddard and the Ionian Basin 2001

Nice night listening to creek.  I got very good sleep.  A pika (like a hamster) was running around this morning and I got a few pictures.  On the “trail” around 8:45.  Finished rounding the lake, then started downhill.  North Goddard Creek descent not too bad—a few rough sections, but no loose talus!  At the bottom we found a deep canyon with a waterfall upstream a bit.  We crossed to the other side just above the falls.  Found the trail and headed up toward Hell For Sure Pass.  Climb was not too bad, got over the pass and into camp at Hell For Sure Lake around 5pm.
