Easy day, all on trail.
Journal Entry: First day of Humphreys Basin trek. Stayed at North Lake campground last night, started hiking from campsite at 9am. Clear skies to start, a few clouds around 11am, building a bit with a few sprinkles near the end. Steady uphill to Loch Leven and Piute Lake, then up to Piute Pass, arriving around 2pm. Easy hike on good trail over to Muriel Lake where we are camped. A few others are here. Clouds look to be clearing a bit now at 4:15. Tomorrow we explore some lakes off trail, and end at Tomahawk Lake.
