Today
was a rest day after two tough days. Started out clear, but then
the rain arrived for the afternoon. It was a very good day for
rain as we were already in camp for the night!
Journal Entry: Awoke to clear skies, dropped below 40F this morning. Started walking around 8am. Mostly easy terrain past Paris Lake, Puppet Lake, Star Lake, L Lake, Moon Lake, and on to camp at Elba Lake. Clouds building all morning with sprinkles felt around noon. Got to camp around 12:30, set up, and got some more sprinkles. Thunder now at 1:45, in my tent. Update 8:30pm: rain continued with just slight breaks until 5:30, skies cleared mostly by an hour later and the sun was out! Clear skies tonight. Tomorrow up to Royce Lakes.
