Kennedy Canyon to Lake Harriet

Fri. 8-2-02 According to the chart, today
was 8.7 miles. Felt shorter than
that. Maybe because not much
elevation gain or loss. Our goal
was Lake Harriet, just shy of our entrance to Yosemite NP.
Most of today’s walking was through the woods, in valleys.
We did have a couple of nice views of the surrounding peaks.
Got to camp around 3pm, with many long
breaks. The lake is
peaceful with gusty winds which might die down later (looks promising).
Weather was great, just puffy clouds.
Tomorrow, into Yosemite! |
