Enjoyable hike with light loads around the upper part of Blue Canyon.

Journal Entry:  Got started 8:45am or so.  Uphill to above the first lake (10,580 ft), then followed a creek part way to the high lake at a little over 11,000 ft.  Continued from there up slabs mixed with talus to a saddle south of Blue Canyon Peak, then up to the top (11,860 ft), getting there 12:15 or so.  Took our time enjoying the awesome views.  Headed down past Lake 10580 ft, then over to Lake 10401 ft (Ron stopped a half mile short).  Beautiful lake with a forest on the north shore and a view from the outlet to the valley below.  Got back to camp just after 5pm.  Tough but awesome day!  Weather holds with just puffy clouds most of the day.
