Gusty winds part of the night - and again warm - low was 45 degrees in tent.  On trail around 8am.  Navigated around south end of lake to Cirque Pass.  The pass itself was quite easy from the west -- a few snow fields didn’t prove to be much of an obstacle.  The other side to Palisade Lakes was a long downhill -- class 2 in a number of spots.  Got to camp at Lower Palisade Lake around 1pm.  Got campsite near outlet on opposite side of lake from the trail.  At least 5 others camped here.  Mosquitos are bad -- even in the sun.  Guess we were spoiled by the near mosquito-less conditions in Palisade Basin and Glacier Creek basin.
