Patagonia & Antarctica 2011

Argentina and Chile lie in the southern part of South America. Patagonia is the southern part of these two countries. On this trip, we visited both of these countries, and included a cruise to Antarctica.

We flew to Argentina via Houston to Buenos Aires, and then on to El Calafate. A late flight caused us to miss a planned visit to Perito Merino Glacier near El Calafate, and instead we took the bus to El Chalten to catch up with our plan.

After visiting El Chalten and Torres del Paine, we flew from El Calafate to Ushuaia, where we would board the ship to Antarctica. After returning from Antarctica, we spent the next three days returning home via Buenos Aires and Houston.
